But be sure to take food, since most of the eateries were closed when we arrived at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. The only place pumping out the calories was the steadfast fish and chip shop...and what a blast from the past it was. That place is stuck in a time warp...just like ye old hamburger shoppe of my youth where I used to gorge my fill on 20c buckets of chips. I'll confess I had low expectations...but was truly blown away. The food was fresh and generous proportioned. The service was old fashioned and we had a genuinely nostaglic time. Go you little beauty fish and chip shop. You made our day. with those lovely chip sandwiches.July 10, 2016
